What’s the Raw Material of Paper Cup?

news

The production and use of paper cups are in line with the national environmental protection policy. Replacement of disposable plastic cups reduces "white pollution". The convenience, hygiene and low price of paper cups are the key to replace other utensils to widely occupy the market. Paper cups are divided into cold drink cups and hot drink cups according to their uses. In addition to meeting the needs of their packaging and processing performance, the material of paper cups must also meet their printing adaptability. Among the many factors in printing technology, the conditions for heat sealing of paper cups must also be met.

The paper cup material produced by the paper cup machine is composed of direct printing of paper cup base paper, die cutting, forming processing, and spraying food wax on the surface. The production process of the hot drink cup is that the paper cup base paper is coated into paper cup paper, printed, die-cut, and processed. The base paper for paper cups is composed of plant fibers. The production process is generally to use plant fibers such as coniferous wood and hardwood to pass through the pulp board after pulping. The paper cup of the paper cup machine is composed of paper cup base paper and plastic resin particles extruded and compounded. The plastic resin generally uses polyethylene resin (PE). The paper cup base paper is coated with single-sided PE film or double-sided PE film to become single PE cup paper or double PE paper cups.

PE coated paper has its own non-toxic, odorless, tasteless; hygienic performance is reliable; chemical properties are stable; physical and mechanical properties are balanced, good cold resistance; water resistance, moisture resistance and certain oxygen and oil resistance; excellent molding properties and good heat sealing performance. PE has large production volume, convenient source and low price, but it is not suitable for high-temperature cooking. If the paper cup has special performance requirements, plastic resin with corresponding performance should be used when laminating
